I think the reason I ship Johnlock so much is because John never loses faith in Sherlock.
Even when he was presented with so much that could have swayed his conviction, he never entertained the thought, not even for a second.
Even when he knew it would get him arrested, he defended Sherlock’s integrity.
Even when given paper evidence that Richard Brook was an actor, he knew Moriarty was real.
Even when Sherlock himself told him that he was a fake, it was the only thing that John never believed of him.
Truly, John cares for Sherlock, and hell, Sherlock ‘died’ for John, so no matter what, I know that Johnlock is real. Even in the most purely platonic sense of the word, Sherlock and John love each other, and that’s what the show is about.
